Our Florida Trip

So we have now been back for over a week and I am just now posting pictures of our Florida trip. We had so much fun. Thank you so much to g-ma Jane and g-pa Phil for coming and watching the boys so we could go. It was such a fun, relaxing vacation. Sometimes I would get anxious because I felt like I needed to be cleaning, or doing wash or something like that. If we wanted to go somewhere we would just get in the car and go. Very different from at home. I am glad to be back. It was cold a few days there, but then the last couple of days it heated up. It was a once in a lifetime trip. Thanks again g-ma and g-pa!!

I'm Back for a minute!

Okay, now that I am finished reading the "Twilight" series I can now focus on more important things like blogging! I did love the books and I am looking forward to the 4th book coming out in August. Anyway, Greg and I are able to take a trip to Florida (with out the kids) for a week to do some relaxing in the sun. I thought the snow was finally melting away, you could finally see our sidewalk and some grass. Then on Saturday it started snowing. It is snowing right now...I had to dig out the kids snowpants for recess again, good thing they weren't already in storage. Grandma Jane is flying in tonight to watch all four kids. Normally this wouldn't be a big task for her, but I neglected to tell her that the babies are crawling fast and climbing up on everything, including the stairs. I thought if I told her she might back out. Grandpa Phil is coming to save her on Monday. I am so thankful that they are so willing to come and spend some time with the kids, especially since they are putting their mission papers in soon. I will post some fun, sunny pictures when we get back.

By the way, Hunter won 2nd place in the pinewood derby on Friday night. It was a tri-ward pinewood derby and was a lot of fun for him...and Greg. You should see the dad's faces light up every time their child one. Greg was obviously one of those dads. They neglected the car until the week of and Greg even canceled patients at work so he could finish the car. CRAZY! Hunter tells him...dad, it's not about winning, but if I had fun making the car and racing it. That's not Greg's theory!

Catching up

I have been a very bad blogger lately. I blame it all on my sister's Jess & Tami & Suz. They have been raving about this book called Twilight for a long time and I resisted because I knew I would neglect my everyday life if I started reading. Then I changed my mind and started reading. You need to understand that when I read I am taken to another world. Almost like I am in the book and I never want to put it down. So I am finished with the first book and am getting the 2nd book from Nichole. I can't wait. But I did decided to catch up on blogging while I don't have the book. The slide show has pictures of Valentine's to Easter. We haven't done that much exciting things. The babies have started crawling and that is a whole new chapter in our lives. I can't just leave them in a room and shower. Peyton is actually pulling himself up on things like his crib and the tub. He has even made it up the first two steps to the landing in the front room! I am not ready for this!!

I've been tagged...

Thanks for the tag, Kenzie. Let's see if I can remember 10 years ago!

10 YEARS AGO I was barely pregnant with Hunter. It was such an exciting time. I remember not having any insurance, I was working at ERA Mountain Land Realty (Greg's dad and brother own it), Greg was in school and working at Big-O tires, and we had planned on not having kids for a while. My plans changed, or they were changed for me. I woke up one day and I had the strongest feeling that we needed to have a baby. Greg of course said no. But I was out of my contraceptive and he knew this, repeat he knew this, yet to this day he claims I seduced him. Nice try, Greg! Anyway, I can't imagine life without Hunter. He is such a great kid and I know that we needed him in our family.

THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST I am with Kenzie, I have lot's of laundry to do, bills to pay, and babies to feed. But here I am blogging! Long term to do list is help my kids become responsible adults one day. I guess that has to start with me!

SNACKS I ENJOY Well, right now I am enjoying a little cookie dough, compliments of Papa Murphy's pizza. If you haven't tried it, it's really good. I really like to snack on trail mix. Mainly the kind that's not good for you.

WHAT WOULD I DO IF I WERE SUDDENLY A BILLIONAiRE? I would probably go on a spending spree. If you were asking Greg he would say invest it. I would buy the car that I want, the house that I want and be able to go see family anytime I want. I maybe would even get my body looking the way it should with help from Dr. 90210! Really, I am not even kidding!

3 BAD HABITS 1) I like sweets way too much! 2) I am and always have been a procrastinator. 3) I eat what I want and then exercise thinking that I'll lose weight, but I won't because I am not a smart eater.

5 PLACES I HAVE LIVED American Fork, UT; Ephraim, UT; Pl. Grove, UT; Philadelphia, PA; Anchorage, AK.

5 JOBS I HAVE HAD: Custom Caps, put lables on hats; Lameroux appraisals; Subway sandwich, ERA Mountain Land Realty, YMCA daycare.

5 THINGS PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME 1)I would sleep all day if I had the chance 2)This goes along with Kenzie's. Greg and I were voted to have the most kids. This was an award given at our senior sluff day 3) I hate complainers. Just get the job done for heavens sakes!!!! 4) I slipped on ice when I stepped out of my car this morning. Of course I had to immediately look around to make sure no one was watching. 5) I want more kids and I won't even mind if I have twins again!

I TAG CARISSA, HOLLY, SELINA (get back on the blogwagon!), CALLIE, TRACI

Farewell to the Rhodehouse family!

I am really sad that our good friends Brian, Marquita, Katrina and Carter are moving tomorrow! Brian is a mechanic with the Air Force and he is going to be gone to Greece for a year, while Marquita will be spending her year with her parents in Alabama (we tried to get her to live next to us and we'd take care of her, but I guess I understand that you would choose family over us! j/k.) They will be missed dearly. I think I am done making friends with people who aren't permanent residents. You think I would've learned that during dental school! Austin and Carter have done joy school together and are in the same primary class. Hunter and Katrina have been in the same class at school for the past two years. I know that Hunter and Austin are going to miss Katrina and Carter so much. As for Marquita and Brian, who am I going to pick on now? Remember you owe me some lotion, or should I say Cindy owes me the lotion? We had a lot of fun "Katan" game nights. We will miss your sweet family alot! You better stay in touch, because you know what will happen otherwise! Have a safe and fun trip (driving) to Alabama! We love you!

The sweetest babies!

Hands down I have the sweetest babies ever. They bring so much joy to our family. None of us can get enough of them. When you love and kiss them they just laugh. They were laughing really hard the other day and so I went to see what was going on, seeing that I was the only one home with them, and Ryder was putting his little fingers into Peyton's mouth and they both thought it was so funny. They are getting very curious of each other, which includes grabbing ears, scratching faces and pulling hair. Usually they suck on each other's arms, I am in trouble when they have teeth! I was worried that I would have a hard time loving two babies...come to find out I have double the love for each baby. I love having twins and I would do it all over again if I had the choice! FYI: Last dr's appt info: At age 7 months: Ryder 16lb 3oz, 27" long; Peyton 16lb 2oz, 27" long. They have been and still are just an ounce different in weight and the same length!

Through the years...

Greg and I have been together for over half of our lives (16 years). Ten of those years have been in marriage. I just thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of us together. The first picture is actually kinda funny. He is pulling my hair at my first boy/girl birthday party. I already had a huge crush on him at the time, he must've known because boys do mean things when they have crushes on you too, right? I found more pictures on my computer that I thought had been deleted, but thanks to the "geek squad" they found them for me. So I added them to my slide show.
