I'm Back for a minute!

Okay, now that I am finished reading the "Twilight" series I can now focus on more important things like blogging! I did love the books and I am looking forward to the 4th book coming out in August. Anyway, Greg and I are able to take a trip to Florida (with out the kids) for a week to do some relaxing in the sun. I thought the snow was finally melting away, you could finally see our sidewalk and some grass. Then on Saturday it started snowing. It is snowing right now...I had to dig out the kids snowpants for recess again, good thing they weren't already in storage. Grandma Jane is flying in tonight to watch all four kids. Normally this wouldn't be a big task for her, but I neglected to tell her that the babies are crawling fast and climbing up on everything, including the stairs. I thought if I told her she might back out. Grandpa Phil is coming to save her on Monday. I am so thankful that they are so willing to come and spend some time with the kids, especially since they are putting their mission papers in soon. I will post some fun, sunny pictures when we get back.

By the way, Hunter won 2nd place in the pinewood derby on Friday night. It was a tri-ward pinewood derby and was a lot of fun for him...and Greg. You should see the dad's faces light up every time their child one. Greg was obviously one of those dads. They neglected the car until the week of and Greg even canceled patients at work so he could finish the car. CRAZY! Hunter tells him...dad, it's not about winning, but if I had fun making the car and racing it. That's not Greg's theory!

SO fun you guys get to go on a trip and without the kids! Wish we could meet you guys there or something, I swear, it keeps snowing here too! Way COLD! I could use a little sun myself. Thats funny about the Pinewood Derby thing, we will see how Rog reacts to that when that time comes. Good times!

I hear you on the snow thing. Except I was anxious and put their snow stuff away . . . oops :) Hopefully next week will be warmer . . . I even got my bike stuff out and ready and rode! Ha! Not anymore! - Lisa

I am so EXTREMELY jealous you guys are off to Florida. I knew Jane was going up but didn't know it was to watch your guys! She will manage. She is pretty amazing and I bet by the time you get back, she will have the house spotless and the twins potty trained! I don't know how she does it!

Melinda...if anyone deserves a week away from regular life, it's you!Have so much fun. BTW, how long does it take you to fly to Florida? When are we going on a girls getaway?

Also, way to go Hunter (and Greg). Matt is the say way as Greg... Luke would tell him that it doesn't matter who wins the basketball game as long as everyone is having fun - Matt's response, "who has fun losing"! All I can do is shake my head!

Get a great tan for all of us stuck in Winter!

I can 100% see Greg and Hunter having this conversation, and seeing Greg, as he makes the car... dreaming when Hunter wins.
Ha Ha! I hope you have fun in Florida, I wish I were there babysitting... Sort of, might be too many kids for me. :)

Congrats to Hunter! Great job! That is nice that you guys get to get away without the kids - soooo nice! I agree with suz - mom will manage - she's probably been counting down the days to come see them. They'll have lots of fun with her - too bad the twins aren't older and can play "twin" tricks on her, ha ha ha!
