Could it be that time already?
Yesturday was kinda cold, in the 40's, and I was picking up the boys from school when it started to sleet/snow! NOOOOOOOOOO! Not ready! Plus it isn't supposed to snow in the 40's, is it? We didn't have that great of summer in Anchorage. Everyone who's lived here forever said it was the coldest summer they've ever been through up here. A couple of us did the "Beans/Oktoberfest" run this morning and there was ice on the wooden bridges that we ran across. Plus when the clouds cleared some, I did see snow in the foothills! Time to get the coats out, I thought I just put them away 3 months ago!

I cried yesterday because of the snow! It seriously can't be that time yet.
You are a super woman for running!! You go girl!
WOW! Of course I remember you! Your family is beautiful! Twins! What a handful! It is so great to hear from you, stay in touch - Jessi
i'm so sorry. I don't quite know what to say? LOL
You poor thing. My aunt from Anchorage is down visiting and it was in the high 60's and my mom had on a fleece and my aunt was just laughing saying that it was NOT cold. Good luck!
CRAZY!!! We are in Austin, and we got a phone call from Haakon telling us that it snowed that day! I hope it doesn't come back soon!
Oh I am so sorry! It was 60 degrees today and I have been FREEZING all day! That means you just need to make another trip out here to Utah to get out of the freezing temps! ;)
I know! IT wasnt quite that bad for us this weekend, but it was cold and rainy! Yuck! I am so not ready for this either!
Yesterday we were in St. George swimming and when we came back up North it was cold!! I thought that was bad but 40's is coooold!! I am sorry! Give the boys and Greg hugs and kisses from us and try to stay warm.
I kind of feel like Holly. You do live in Alaska and all. lol--I know that's mean. I don't really mean it. Okay, maybe I mean it a little bit. Love ya, Melinda!
Hey! Saw you clear across Target today!! Let the fun begin!! haha
Hey lady... I feel for you. I've read that this is one fo the coldest starts to winter in AK. My solution would be to take the family to Mexico for a week - wouldn't that be grand!!!
so, the marathon was unbelievable. You could do it and you should ... sign up next spring and go for it. What an amazing experience! I think I am going to stick to halfs right now, but I may do another full one day! My goal was to run under 5 hours and make it out alive. I ended up running a 4:31 - I felt so good in the beginning and I booked it the first 12 miles ... I then slowed down and my feet began to feel like they were going to fall off - it was miserable. Nevetheless, the whole experience was incredible - even with all the rain (what the freak, it's St. George)! I would love you as a running partner... we'd have so much fun. Go for it Melinda!
That's what you get for living in AK!! Just kidding! Hope it warms up a little for you before the looooong winter is there to stay.
